About me

My name is Isa Janssen and I am a ceramic artist

𐃡 I graduated from the art academy in Breda in 2021. In my graduation year, my love for clay and ceramics began. Working with clay feels like an expression of gratitude. Making something out of clay that comes from the soil and then going through a patient process in which you transform it into a durable product feels so special.  A feeling of gratitude and appreciation arises when I eat or drink from handmade tableware and think about the whole process behind it. I would love for more people to experience this feeling too.

𐃡 On Instagram I document my work and experiments because I enjoy sharing my process with people. I wonder where I will be in a few years and how far I have been able to grow my business.

𐃡 I teach pottery classes at Atelierbreda on Fridays. In addition to making my own work, I really enjoy helping and guiding other people in their process. I also host workshops myself and teach at various locations.
